Job Summary

Title V Pathways to Completion – Success Coach
The purpose of this position is to provide holistic student support to targeted students in grant cohort, to assist students with academic goals, course planning, academic self-efficacy, motivation, financial/time management, and program progression and pathway completion. Establish relationship that fosters opportunities to share areas of growth and areas of concern while supporting student’s academic goals and proactive measures to enhance pathway progress.

Guide new students to develop successful skills and habits that will enhance their educational experience by way of ongoing and frequent success coaching sessions via multi-media communication strategies; maintain new student case management files and records.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
• Effective communication and ability to build rapport
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to learn learning management system:

Preferred Skills & Abilities

Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

Required Experience

Previous work experience in a higher education environment (1 year)
Previous work with at-risk populations in higher education, social services, counseling, etc.
