Food Safety Regulatory Officer – Food & Beverage Industry
Work Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Travel up to 25%)
Annual Base Salary: $100,100 – $157,100 +10% annual bonus
One of our esteemed clients, a global leader in sustainable packaging and food processing solutions, is seeking Food Safety Regulatory Officers to support their Food & Equipment Safety operations across the U.S. and Canada. - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of food industry experience
- Experience in food manufacturing, formulation, process safety, and thermal processing
- Strong knowledge of U.S. food laws and regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and technical writing skills
- Ability to make and communicate difficult decisions
- Proficiency in written and verbal English
- Strong drive for food safety and public health; takes initiative and ownership
- Proven informal authority and stakeholder management ability
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Hands-on experience in food manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of thermal processing, aseptic processes, software tools, and packaging
- Strong coaching, influence, and relationship-building skills
- Proven networking and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Continuous improvement mindset with strong customer focus Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance, support, and training to internal teams and customers.
- Support filling machine installation projects and ensure compliance with EQP (Equipment Qualification Program).
- Conduct regulatory compliance reviews and issue approval letters for capital equipment installations.
- Manage EQP document orders for domestic and international customers.
- Perform calibration reviews for food safety concerns.
- Review and update internal documentation.
- Contribute to the Global 3-A Alignment Team to maintain 3-A Sanitary Standards & TPV compliance.
- Support international customers importing aseptic products into the U.S.
- Assist Process Authority with regulatory activities, deviations, validation, and FDA filing projects.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. food laws, aseptic processes, and food safety principles.
- Represent the company at industry conferences.
