The College of Health and Public Service (HPS) at the University of North Texas, distinguished as one of the few Tier One research universities designated as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), prepares graduates to address complex social issues such as aging, disability, disaster management and recovery, criminal justice, health disparities, and public safety, and find solutions to challenges in public administration, public health, and urban design.

HPS students are trained to lead nonprofits, become educators, researchers and professionals who strengthen the communities we serve, with thoughtful practices as audiologists, behavior analysts, city managers, emergency managers, health care administrators, public safety administrators, public health specialists, rehabilitation counselors, speech language pathologists, social workers, urban planners and more.

Located within HPS, the Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology (ASLP) provides the finest graduate professional education in both speech-language pathology and audiology while maintaining an excellent undergraduate degree. The program stresses excellence in teaching, research, and service by its faculty and students. As a component of the educational program, the department operates the UNT Speech and Hearing Center, which offers professional services to members of our campus community and the general public for the purpose of providing clinical training for students.

The Center offers state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, and hearing disorders.

UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.

The Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (ASLP) is actively recruiting qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool for Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 terms. We welcome applications at any time for teaching opportunities in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. Specific course assignments will vary based on departmental needs.

Au.D. or Ph.D. in Audiology or a related field, or a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
