Travel Ultrasound Technologist​/Sonographer - Sonography​/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ARDMS and RVT certification with at least 2 years of experience.

• ARDMS and RVT certification required
• BLS required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ultrasound/sonography
• Minimum 2 years of travel experience required
• Paracentesis/thoracentesis experience preferred
• Biopsy and drainage experience preferred
• GE equipment experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Ultrasound department within a 228-bed hospital
• Staffing includes 1 full-time and 3 PRN technologists across day, evening, and night shifts
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment and Meditech EMR
• Procedures performed include pelvic/transvaginal, renal and renal dopplers, abdomen and limited abdomen, 1st trimester pregnancy, testicular, carotid, and upper/lower extremity venous studies
• 3-day work week, Friday-Sunday, 6:30 AM-7:00 PM
• On-call required during the week, potentially 10:30 PM-7:00 AM
• Possibility to pick up extra shifts
• Floating required within the department and to patient rooms
• Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and obstetric studies
• Must be open to weekend shifts, on-call, holiday call, and holiday shift coverage
• Dark gray scrub attire required
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
