Overview
Our client is based near Plano, TX. They are seeking a dedicated, experienced well-rounded Human Resources Manager to join the team on a full-time, direct-hire basis
. The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices. This position requires a strategic thinker who can implement effective HR policies and processes while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Occasional travel is required in this role (10% to 15%).
- Set up and direct HR functions.
- Ensure proper observance of corporate policies.
- Coordinate the strategic hiring and recruiting of employees at all levels.
- Maintain and process employee paperwork.
- Manage and maintain employee files.
- Serve as a troubleshooter for the organization.
- Train and coach employees on company programs.
- Handle OSHA compliance, workers’ compensation claims, I-9 audits and new hire reporting.
- Travel to different site locations monthly.
- Assess organizational training needs.
- Supervise student interns, custodians, and reception area employees.
- Coordinate annual evaluation program.
- Administer benefits (health and welfare, 401k, and fringe).
- Organize wellness programs (wellness checks, flu shots, hearing conservation, etc.).
- Process HR related invoices.
- Work with social committee to execute company social events.
- Instruct and coordinate safety and medical teams.
- Manage workers’ compensation incidents and OSHA Logs.
- Perform public relations and civic involvement.
- Perform other duties as required by management.
- Must keep up to date on all legal requirements in the workplace.
- Handle social media presence for the company.
- A two- or four-year degree in Human Resources
- A minimum of five years in an HR role
- Construction or fabricating experience is a plus
- Familiarity with labor laws
- Strong communication
- Experience in HR systems
- Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
- Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
- Attention to detail and good judgment
