Senior Systems Administrator

Join a rapidly growing managed service provider as a Senior Systems Administrator in a fully onsite role based in Denton, TX. This position was created due to impressive client expansion, with over 30 to 35% growth in a single quarter, creating the need for strong technical talent to support a diverse customer environment. Working alongside an IT Director and Team Lead, you will support a mix of on‑premises and cloud‑adjacent initiatives, ranging from traditional Windows environments to hybrid setups leveraging M365, Ignite, AWS, and various hypervisors.

This is a hands‑on position supporting customers both onsite and from the Denton office, where the team collaborates daily to work through tickets, review infrastructure needs, and execute project work.

Salary range: $85,000 to $110,000. The organization is a Microsoft Cloud Partner, offering opportunities for certification advancement and professional development.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of technical experience in system and network support
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Windows server environments (Server 2016, 2019, 2022)
  • Virtualization experience with Hyper‑V or VMware (ESXI)
  • Fundamental networking knowledge including VLANs, switching, and CCNA‑level understanding
  • Windows operating systems expertise (Windows 10/11)
  • Knowledge of computer operating procedures, network protocols, and system software products
  • Experience supporting multi‑vendor environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Comfortable with a fully onsite work schedule in Denton, TX
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain composure during high‑pressure situations
  • Strong work ethic and high motivation

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related combination of training and experience
  • Microsoft MCTS or higher certification
  • 1 to 2 years of experience working with a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
  • Experience supporting hybrid environments or cloud‑adjacent setups (M365, AWS, Ignite)
  • MDM experience with Intune or Jamf
  • Power Shell scripting and automation skills
  • Microsoft Exchange 2016, 2019 experience
  • Microsoft Office 2019/365 administration
  • Microsoft Cloud Solutions experience (Azure, Dev Ops, Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra

    ID)
  • Wireless infrastructure knowledge
  • Knowledge of multiple backup technologies including Tape/Disk/Cloud and understanding of use cases
