Akkodis is seeking Active Directory, Contract with a direct client in Denton, TX

Pay Range: $55 - $60/hr on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

Position: Active Directory

Duration: 6+ Months contract to hire

Managing and maintaining Active Directory infrastructure, including user account provisioning, group policy management, and ensuring the security and proper functioning of the Active Directory environment. Specific tasks might include troubleshooting issues, implementing security measures, and supporting other teams with Active Directory-related tasks.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Active Directory Management: Maintaining and managing the Active Directory infrastructure, including user accounts, groups, and organizational units.
  • Group Policy Management: Configuring and troubleshooting Group Policy Objects to enforce security policies and settings across the network.
  • Security and Compliance: Implementing and maintaining security measures within the Active Directory environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues related to Active Directory, including user access problems, authentication issues, and other related errors.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for Active Directory configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

    Collaboration:

    Providing support to other IT teams and users on Active Directory-related issues, collaborating on projects, and sharing knowledge.
Additional Responsibilities (depending on the specific role):
  • Disaster Recovery: Participating in disaster recovery planning and execution for Active Directory environments.
  • Identity Management: Working with other identity management systems and tools to integrate with Active Directory.
  • Server Management: Supporting and maintaining the servers that host Active Directory services.
  • Network Administration: Assisting with basic network administration tasks related to Active Directory connectivity.
Required

Skills and Experience:
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory concepts, architecture, and components.
  • Experience with managing users, groups, and organizational units.
  • Proficiency in Group Policy management.
  • Knowledge of security best practices within Active Directory.
  • Troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Windows Server environments.
  • Familiarity with other related technologies like DNS, DHCP, and Power Shell (optional but beneficial).
