Role Overview :
The Operations Manager will plan and oversee the daily operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.
Essential Functions and
Key Responsibilities:Follows and enforces all safety rules and regulations at all times.Plans and organizes daily activities related to production and operations.Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.Coordinates with other support departments such as Human Resources, finance, and logistics to ensure successful production operations.Oversees the shipping and receiving functions.Determines labor needs to meet production goals.Assists with budget preparation for operations unit.Coordinates with marketing and sales departments to determine pricing, timing, and number of sales promotions, and products to be sold.Assists with or prepares and updates the organization’s operations manual and policies.Performs other related duties as required.Requirements of the Position:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required; M.B.A. preferred.Certification through the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM) preferred.Five years of operations management or related experience required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.Ability to access and navigate the production facility.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Prioritizes efforts and ensures they align with business objectives.Drives vision and purpose by painting a compelling picture of the vision and strategy that motivates others to action.Possess a strategic mindset.Be customer focused, building strong customer relationships and plans and aligns work to meet the customer’s needs.Develop team members both to meet their career goals and the organization’s goals.Creates a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the company achieve its objectives.Communicates effectively, both written and orally.Manages conflict, handling conflict situations effectively with minimal disruption.Work Requirements:
- Work full-time onsite at the Real Cold facility.
- Hours vary depending on facilities shipment of product out of each facility.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Typical workweeks are standard 40 hours with workdays fluctuating based on customer demands.
Physical
Work Environment:
Works in a cold storage facility with exposure to low to below zero temperatures. This job may involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as dust, noise, etc. Accidents are improbable other than minor injuries. Environment may be fast-paced at times.
