Sanitation Technician – 3rd Shift (11 pm–7:30 am)
As a Sanitation Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our food manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment, surfaces, and production areas meet regulatory sanitation requirements, thereby contributing to the safety and quality of our food products.
Duties And Responsibilities- Execute thorough cleaning and sanitation procedures according to company protocols and regulatory guidelines, including equipment disassembly, chemical cleaning, and sanitation of production areas.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify sanitation issues or areas requiring maintenance, monitor cleaning supplies and equipment inventory, and report deficiencies or replenishment needs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and sanitation regulations (FDA, USDA, HACCP). Keep abreast of updates and implement necessary changes.
- Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and logs. Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory inspections and audits.
- Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to coordinate sanitation activities with production schedules, communicating effectively to address issues and promote a culture of cleanliness.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements; participate in training and continuous learning.
- Flexibility to work overtime and non‑standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in food safety or sanitation preferred.
- Previous experience in sanitation, preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation best practices.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

- Exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness/poor lighting, noise, and vibration. Seasonal exposure to weather elements.
- Physical risks such as mechanical hazards, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire, explosives, communicable diseases.
