Pallet Sort Machine Operator

Join to apply for the PALLET SORT MACHINE OPERATOR role at 48forty Solutions.

As a Machine Operator, you will sort pallets to grade using a SMETCO 300 series pallet sorter, inspect the quality of all pallets and assign a grade, while removing all trash and debris.

Hourly Pay: $18.00/hr – $19.00/hr.

Shift(s): 2nd shift Monday – Thursday 5:00 pm – 3:30 am; 3rd shift Thursday 11:00 am – 5:00 pm, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 5:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Location: 4640 Jim Christal Rd, Denton, Texas 76207.

• Hand stack pallets to appropriate heights
• Load and unload materials from trailers by hand
• Move pallets, or materials on pallets or in crates, around the distribution center
• Check loads to make sure they are secure
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Coordinate trailer moves within yard management system
• Accurately complete production paperwork to track progress
• Communicate directly with Shift Lead or On‑Site Manager regularly

• High school degree or GED required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills needed
• Ability to work overtime when needed

• Ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, and air particulate
• Repetitive body movements: bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths
• Noise level in the work environment depends on location
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, and color vision
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds
