The production technician contributes to all phases of the team‑oriented production process, operating automated production equipment, diagnosing machinery failures, performing preventive maintenance, and sanitizing all related equipment. Technicians are expected to become fully versed in the entire production process and must be flexible and adaptable, rotating job assignments throughout production to monitor equipment and product, ensuring safe work environment, maintaining cleanliness, and making real‑time accurate decisions that affect order fulfillment and product addition.

The position requires mastery of Enterprise software for data entry, retrieval, reporting, and other functions; compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes‑Oxley, etc.); and adherence to work schedules, attendance policies, and other operating rules. Competency in all on‑the‑job activities that may affect product safety, legality, and quality is mandatory.

• Adhere to production work schedule and reporting times.
• Operate facility metal detector(s) after full training and certification.
• Perform start‑up/shut‑down sanitation and limited preventive maintenance on machinery.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas that comply with safety rules.
• Check and maintain production schedules, running order, and formulas.
• Scale and stage ingredients according to standards.
• Ensure all product is loaded into proper containers.
• Conduct quality control inspections and continuously monitor for acceptable governmental and company standards.
• Provide scheduled breaks for Production Technicians on assigned shift, if required.
• Act as a member of a highly functioning team.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervision.

• Two (2) or more years of related experience.

• High school diploma or equivalency plus successful completion of a technical certification course (e.g., HVAC, auto maintenance/repair, etc.).
• Equivalent military training or related technical training, or successful completion of at least 45 college credit hours may substitute for technical training.
• A technical certification course may include completion of the AIB Science of Baking course.
