Responsibilities
United Behavioral Health of Denton (UBH Denton) is a private, 104‑bed, free‑standing psychiatric hospital serving North Texas and surrounding communities since 2005. It specializes in mental health and chemical dependency care for adolescents and adults, offering inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient services, including a specialized Women’s program.
The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with the health team, following the nursing process and standards of practice.
ShiftPRN
Position SummaryThe RN provides direct patient care in accordance with Standards of Care and Practice, ensuring compliance with the Joint Commission, state and regulatory standards, and patient rights. The RN also implements Infection Control, Safety, and Risk Management policies and documentation procedures.
Job Duties / Responsibilities- Ensure all staff deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice.
- Maintain compliance with the Joint Commission, state and regulatory standards, and patient rights standards.
- Implement Infection Control, Safety, and Risk Management policies and procedures consistently.
- Document patient information and nursing care for the provision of nursing services.
Education:
Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred.
Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
Additional RequirementsMust pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of Handle‑with‑Care and Verbal De‑escalation (including restraint and seclusion policies) within 30 days of employment, prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
