Urgent Care LVN

Location: Denton, TX (on-site; patient-facing)
Pay Rate: $37.17/hour
Type: Contract / temporary (approx. 19 weeks)
Hours: 75 hours bi-weekly (schedule varies; shifts typically 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours)
Schedule Notes: Work schedules are created in 6-week blocks after initial training/orientation. Expect a mix of weekdays + every other weekend, and some major holidays. This is a float role between clinics in the Denton, TX area.

Overview

We’re seeking an Urgent Care LPN to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced clinic environment. You’ll use strong clinical judgment and communication skills to support patient outcomes while collaborating with the broader care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including routine assessments and vital sign monitoring
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed (oral/injectable/IV/topical as applicable)
• Perform/assist with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing
• Accurately document patient history, care provided, and treatment response in the EMR
• Educate patients on self-care techniques, disease management, and community resources
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinic environment

Required Qualifications

• Active LVN/LPN license in good standing (no current or prior disciplinary actions)
• • If using a compact license, it must be issued in your primary state of residence
• Current BLS certification (expiration must be at least 30 days beyond your start date)
• 1+ year related clinical experience in a healthcare setting
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings
• • (Candidates with experience limited to long-term care settings may have difficulty adapting to this environment.)
• Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
