Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Location:
Denton, TX Assignment Length: 6 months
Rate: $42.50/hr weekday and $45/hr on the weekend
Schedule:
Sunday through Saturday Shift Options:6:00 AM – 2:00 PM2:00 PM – 10:00 PMShifts may alternate based on staffing needs
Candidates may be able to start any day of the week once all pre-employment requirements are completedA minimum of 5 days is needed to complete processing prior to the start date Position Description We are seeking experienced Licensed Vocational Nurses to provide compassionate nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as complex medical, mental health, and behavioral health this role, you will be responsible for providing quality patient care, administering medications and treatments, educating individuals regarding medications, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
You will also have the opportunity to work in a structured healthcare environment while receiving training on required systems, procedures, and documentation processes.
Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care and support to individuals with complex healthcare needs
Administer medications and treatments according to established procedures
Provide medication education
Accurately document patient care and nursing services
Complete computer-based data entry and required documentation
Follow established nursing procedures, policies, and healthcare standards
Maintain compliance with applicable healthcare, safety, and regulatory requirements
Participate in required training and orientation
Requirements
Current, valid LVN license
Minimum of 2 years of LVN experience
Ability to meet required immunization requirements
Ability to successfully complete required drug screening
Ability to successfully complete required fingerprinting/background requirements
Ability to complete all required facility and nursing training
Strong communication, organization, and clinical skills
Ability to work with individuals who may have intellectual disabilities and complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health needs#P2
