Southridge Animal Hospital is Hiring a Veterinary Technician!

  • Role: Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: $17 – $20 per hour
  • Schedule: 3 x 10-hour shifts with an additional half-day and rotating Saturdays
  • Experience: Previous Veterinary Technician experience required; 3+ years preferred

Southridge Animal Hospital is looking for an Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our fantastic team. We’re passionate about animal welfare, nurturing the human-animal bond, and giving clients the education they need to help their pets live happy, healthy lives.

We’re a three-doctor companion animal day practice with an established and growing client base. What You’ll Do
  • Educate clients and advocate for patient care while addressing questions and concerns with empathy
  • Navigate financial conversations professionally and compassionately
  • Document patient histories, treatments, and client communications accurately and succinctly
  • Provide low-stress patient handling and restraint
  • Assist veterinarians within the appropriate scope of practice
  • Perform venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
  • Collect and prepare patient samples and assist with routine diagnostics
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Calculate, fill, and log prescribed medications
  • Document patient vitals and recognize changes in patient condition
  • Induce, monitor, and maintain anesthesia and sedated procedures
  • Assist with surgical and dental procedures based on experience and skill level
  • Accurately position and restrain patients for radiology and ultrasound
  • Discharge patients and clearly communicate veterinarian recommendations
  • Maintain the safety and welfare of patients, clients, and team members
  • Help create a clean, welcoming, and positive hospital environment
What You’ll Bring
  • Previous Veterinary Technician experience required; 3+ years preferred
  • Veterinary technician licensure or equivalent experience welcomed
