Postdoctoral Research Associate | Spectroscopy and Materials Synthesize
Join the University of North Texas as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Physics. The research activity will focus on developing and characterizing emerging materials for solar applications.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field, with research experience in spectroscopy or materials growth and characterization. Experience with materials synthesize and characterization is preferred.
The postdoctoral researcher will work on developing novel spectrometers and characterizing materials electrooptical properties in the visible to the Terahertz range. They will closely work with chemistry and engineering collaborators to measure ultrafast photoconductivity and understand the physical origin of these properties.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting experimental research under the supervision of the Principal Investigator
- Mentoring and training students and junior colleagues
- Contributing to grant writing
- Disseminating research activity to the research community through oral presentations, posters, research reports, and manuscripts
