Security Officer - PRN, Rotating Shift
Join Texas Health Resources as a Security Officer for rotating shifts on a PRN basis.
Work location:
Texas Health Denton – 3000 N I‑35, Denton, TX 76201
Work hours:
PRN (As needed) rotating shift
- Uniforms and duty gear provided

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or a closely related field preferred
- Texas Private Security Level 3 with 1+ year of experience preferred
- Driver’s License (Class C and insurable) upon hire required
- Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention (ACPI) – 30 days of annual training required
- Non‑Commissioned Security Officer (NCSO) – Texas Private Security Level 2, 120 days required (not required if Level
3) - Commissioned Security Officer (CSO) – Texas Private Security Level 3, biannual recertification, 120 days required (2 attempts permitted)
- TASER Certification – complete course & certification, annual recertification, 120 days required (2 attempts permitted)
- Patrol buildings and clinics to secure areas for after‑hour entry
- Lock and unlock doors according to schedules
- Provide individual and group escorts to and from parking areas
- Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property
- Maintain compliance with Texas Health Police policies
- Pursue and detain persons involved in criminal activity
- Fill out incident/offense reports and compose narratives
- Utilize critical thinking skills and provide appropriate level of force for each situation
- Respond to and activate appropriate emergency response codes
- Interact with and provide assistance to Police, Fire, EMS, and other emergency staff as required
