We are the Auxiliary Maintenance Team within the Maintenance division of UNT Facilities. Our team performs the routine and preventative maintenance that is vital to the resident and dining experience within our resident halls, dining facilities and many of our Sorority chapter locations. We work in close coordination and cooperation with our partners within the Housing and Auxiliary Services Department to make residence life our number one priority.
Auxiliary Maintenance is a culmination of several trades including structural, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and access control. We currently maintain facilities across 15 resident halls, 6 dining facilities and 7 Sorority Houses plus the Center for Sorority-Fraternity Life and the UNT Welcome Center. Our goal is to provide the most reliable, efficient and outstanding service to our residents, who rely on our maintaining their living and dining spaces so they can focus on their education.

This is supervisory and skilled technical work directing the efforts of the Facilities Access Control Office. This employee exercises supervision over the technical and clerical staff in the Access Control Office. Work is performed with independent judgement under general supervision from the Manager Structural Services.
- Supervises the Access Control staff and the lead locksmith.
- Provides appropriate training and information to staff as needed.
- Plans work activities and assignment of tasks.
- Participates in keying of buildings.
- Develops long range plans for the UNT Denton Campus.
- Assists other UNT campuses as directed.
- Maintains records, keeps yearly inventory, and reviews work orders.
- Reads blueprints, plans, and sketches.
- Provides appropriate tools and equipment for staff.
- Develops and installs master key systems.
- Works on broken and inoperative locks, door closers and doors.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate electronic access systems.
- Observes proper safety and security measures appropriate to work performed.
- May be required to work specific weekend events a few times a year.
- This position is considered to be essential personnel, and may require working overtime, which could include nights and weekends as needed.
