An authorized Texas dealer of construction equipment specializing in machines for soil stabilization, road reclamation, asphalt paving, slip forming, concrete pumping, compaction, and pavement maintenance is looking for a service technician for our Rhome, TX facility. The company is headquartered in San Antonio with a well-established Austin office and growing in Rhome (north of Ft. Worth). Under the direction from the Service Manager, the job of service technician is responsible for assisting customers on scheduled service, repair, and modifications to the brands of equipment we represent.
ESSENTIALDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expected to have a thorough knowledge of the equipment's various systems. Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose the equipment and make those repairs in a timely matter.
- Excellent customer communication skills are critical.
- Minimum two years of experience in the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of heavy construction equipment required.
- Knowledgeable of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Welding or pneumatic experience is a plus.
- Experience in the infrastructure industry preferred.
- Drug screen, physical, credit and background/driving record check required.
- Must have a high school diploma.
- Must have your own hand tools up to 2-inch combination wrenches and socket wrenches. Some power tools required: ½ drive air impact, air drill, air die cutter, and a multimeter.
- Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic aptitude
- Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Self-motivated and responsible
- High level of customer service
- Ability to handle the physical demands of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and kneeling for long periods of time, and working in tight or confined spaces
- Strong PC skills including MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Ability to meet deadlines and complete assignments in a timely fashion
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and integrity and ability to perform well in a team environment

- Must be willing to work overtime on Monday through Friday as needed. Scheduled hours is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime is available on holidays and weekends on a volunteer basis.
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
