Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Responsibilities
- Performs ongoing facility maintenance and completes repairs on equipment.
- Maintains facilities maintenance needs.
- Ensures facilities are clean and orderly before and after shifts.
- Surveys condition of premises and equipment and reports needed repairs, safety hazards or conditions requiring outside vendor services.
- Completes maintenance forms, work order signoffs and other paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Identifies and tags equipment and components for safe storage.
- Ensures work meets quality standards and specifications.
- Collects and disposes of hazardous waste such as fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid.
- Maintains clean and organized work areas.
- Uses and maintains company‑provided tools and equipment, returning items to designated storage after use.
- Follows building and property security procedures.
- Maintains regular attendance, punctuality and full shifts.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirement: high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: three years’ experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Ability to communicate in English (read, write, speak).
- Understanding of manufacturer maintenance documents and specifications.
- Knowledge of proper use of chemicals.
- Following instructions.
- Working with all organizational levels.
- Basic math for problem solving.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
- Forklift operation.
- Problem solving with limited standardization.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules.
- Interpreting written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions.
- Selecting appropriate tools.
- Valid Texas driver license.
- Independent work.
- Travel as required.
- Overtime as required.
- Compliance with DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing.
- Climbing, using step stools, ladders.
- Lifting 50 lbs without assistance; up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Reaching overhead.
- Working in non-dust-free environment.
- Normal or corrected vision for exact tasks.
- Full range of motion both hands.
- Stooping, kneeling, standing, cramped spaces.
