Warehouse Associate

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our fast-paced distribution team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, including order picking, loading and unloading shipments, and operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo lifts. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse distribution processes, accurate inventory management, and safe handling of materials.

Duties

• Operate various heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse
• Perform order picking with precision using warehouse management systems and manual methods to fulfill customer orders efficiently
• Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and completeness
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of warehouse equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance
• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and adherence to OSHA safety standards
• Assist in inventory management tasks such as stock counts, cycle counts, and updating warehouse management system records
• Support warehouse supervision by maintaining a clean, organized work environment and adhering to safety protocols at all times

Experience

• Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, and pallet jacks
• Strong background in warehouse distribution or logistics environments with familiarity in shipping & receiving procedures
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Prior experience in materials handling, heavy lifting, and safe equipment operation in compliance with OSHA standards
• Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus but not required; leadership skills are beneficial for team collaboration
• Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy
