Accountant I – Envestnet, Denver, CO
Hybrid role requiring in‑office work at the Denver office.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a motivated Accountant I to play an integral part in day‑to‑day billing, collection, and revenue accounting in a fast‑paced environment. This position is essential to ensuring the highest level of financial reporting accuracy through maintenance of internal systems and adherence to financial reporting processes.
Job Responsibilities- Conduct appropriate research to identify and solve reconciling items with further analysis and/or corrective action.
- Collaborate with technical teams to map new products and configurations into the GL, ensuring financial integrity and reporting accuracy.
- Complete month‑end close responsibilities including preparing journal entries, reviewing system‑generated journal entries and ledger interfaces, preparing reconciliations, resolving reconciliation issues, and resolving accounting issues.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to maintain an understanding of the company’s products and programs (new and existing) and their impact on the downstream finance processes.
- Establish effective relationships within the functional area and partner with cross‑departmental peers and business units to accomplish tasks efficiently.
- Complete tasks promptly, escalating any delays to avoid negatively impacting team performance; complete assigned special projects in a timely and accurate manner, and document processes effectively.
- Provide senior accountants and managers with important updates on a consistent basis and elevate complex items to the manager.
- Understand and support Envestnet’s established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls, and procedures that create value or minimize risk.
- Apply Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity, and administrative policies within the role and department, including timely completion of training, affirmations, and testing as requested.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Detail oriented with strong time management, organizational, and adaptability skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in accounting software.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
- 1–2 years of accounting experience.
- Previous experience working in a high‑growth, public company environment.

The annual base salary range is $53,000 to $66,000.
