Summary

We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in accounting, with experience across both public audit and industry roles, and is comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment. This position will report to the Controller and play a critical role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, driving process improvements, and contributing to strategic initiatives such as M&A integration.

The right individual will have the opportunity to grow into an Accounting Manager role as the organization expands.

Key Responsibilities Core Accounting & Transactional Work
  • Perform and oversee daily accounting functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Handle high volumes of transactional work, particularly during the initial phases of the role as the team is built out.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
Process Improvement
  • Assess existing accounting processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Recommend and implement new workflows and automation where appropriate.
  • Support documentation of policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Audit Support
  • Serve as a point of contact for external auditors.
  • Prepare audit schedules, provide supporting documentation, and assist in addressing audit inquiries.
  • Work occasional extended hours during audit cycles as needed.
M&A Integration
  • Assist with financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align accounting policies, reporting structures, and systems with company standards.
  • Support onboarding of newly acquired subsidiaries or business units into accounting operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as a professional, outward-facing representative of the accounting team.
  • Partner with operations, FP&A, HR, legal, and subsidiary teams to support business needs.
  • Communicate complex accounting matters in a clear and approachable manner.
Growth & Leadership Potential
  • Take ownership of assigned areas and demonstrate initiative in expanding responsibilities.
  • Mentor junior team members as appropriate.
  • Position has strong potential to evolve into an Accounting Manager role based on performance and business growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred.
  • 4–7+ years of combined experience in public accounting (audit) and industry roles.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls. Experience with consolidations is a plus.
  • Experience with Net Suite, Salesforce, and Ramp is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage transactional workloads while improving processes.
  • Experience with M&A integration is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with occasional long hours during peak periods (e.g., audits, acquisitions, project deadlines).
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a growing organization.
