AIR is preparing for growth in 2026! We are adding to several departments in accounting with our anticipated growth. Are you ready to take on a new challenge?

We are hiring a challenge-seeking Accountant to our Capital, Risk and Insurance team
, who enjoys solving problems and takes pride in discovering the right solutions. A team player who enjoys working alongside their colleagues in a fast‑paced environment where time flies because each day is busy.

Where You Will Work

Our corporate office is located in the Denver Tech Center
. Our office spans the top two floors of the building and features expansive views of the mountains and the downtown skyline.

AIR values relationships and the benefits of working side by side with teammates, therefore this position will be in‑office 5 days a week to support operations.

What You Will Do

Month‑End Close: Prepare and enter journal entries for assigned areas, including debt management and related transactions.

Reconciliations: Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Variance Analysis: Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis for assigned accounts and work streams.

Schedules Management: Maintain and update schedules for Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Expenses, and Fixed/Intangible Assets, including recording depreciation and amortization.

Risk Accounting: Assist with accounting for casualty events, including claims tracking and related journal entries.

Insurance Accounting: Support accounting for insurance policies, including renewals, amortization, and refunds.

Capital Accounting: Assist with fixed asset accounting, capital allocations, and asset module maintenance.

Collaboration: Work cross‑functionally with other departments to share accounting data and improve process efficiencies.

Reporting: Prepare, review, and distribute financial reports, roll‑forwards, and related financial analysis.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.

Work Environment: This is an in‑office position.

Qualifications
  • Experience conducting variance analysis.
  • Experience conducting actual to budget/forecast analysis.
  • Experience with monthly, quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience recording monthly journal entries, accruals, reclasses, etc.
  • Experience with debt reconciliation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
  • 1‑2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient financial system skills with an emphasis on Excel, Smart View.
  • Workday Financials experience a plus.
  • Superb attention to detail.
  • Nimble problem solver who enjoys complex challenges.
  • Demonstrates quality customer service, teamwork, and cultural fit.
