Job Details Responsibilities

Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements and reports, ensuring that all financial data are accurate and in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Managing joint interest billing (JIB), including the preparation and distribution of invoices to partners, and reconciling any discrepancies or issues.

Coordinating with the operations team to ensure that all costs are accurately captured and allocated to the correct joint venture partners.

Overseeing the general ledger (GL) and ensuring that all entries and adjustments are correctly posted and reconciled.

Conducting regular audits of financial operations to identify and rectify any issues or discrepancies.

Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and analyzing financial data to provide insights and recommendations for financial planning and decision-making.

Liaising with external auditors and providing them with all necessary financial records and documentation.

Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation in the Energy industry, and ensuring that the company is in compliance with these changes.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (such as CPA) would be an advantage.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on joint interest billing (JIB) and general ledger (GL) management in the Energy industry.

Proficiency in financial reporting and the preparation and analysis of financial statements.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, and the ability to ensure that all financial operations are compliant with these standards.

Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights and recommendations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaive effectively with team members, management, and external auditors.

Proficiency in the use of accounting software and other financial management tools.

A high level of integrity and reliability, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and confidentiality.
