Role Overview

As an Associate, Revenue Accounting, you are a detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate and reliable financial records. You work closely with the broader Accounting and Finance team to support revenue recognition, monthly financial closes, and revenue-related account reconciliations. You enjoy digging into financial data, investigating discrepancies, and understanding the processes behind revenue transactions.

What you do each day:

• Support the monthly revenue close process by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Perform revenue-related account reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Assist with revenue recognition activities in accordance with Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606 and internal accounting policies
• Analyze revenue transactions and account variances to identify discrepancies, investigate fluctuations, and support timely resolution
• Review billing, payment processing, and transaction data to ensure accurate recording of revenue across multiple revenue streams
• Maintain detailed accounting documentation and supporting schedules to ensure accurate financial reporting and audit readiness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Sales, and Operations, to resolve revenue-related discrepancies and support accurate reporting
• Assist with external audit requests by preparing revenue-related schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Identify opportunities to streamline revenue accounting processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably with exposure to revenue accounting Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• CPA is a plus or in the process of obtaining CPA
• Foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition principles
• Experience preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and supporting monthly financial close processes
