Our team at Brain Works is actively working with an awesome technology company in the Denver to fill an exciting opportunity. This is immediate need, Interim Senior Payroll Accountant, will cover the full scope of payroll & payroll accounting duties for the organization over the next several months.
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS (must meet all qualifications):- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including direct experience with payroll accounting
- Experience with reviewing payroll reports for reasonableness
- Experience with multi-state payroll (including CO and CA)
- Experience with calculating wage capitalization, payroll tax compliance, and payroll & benefits accruals
- Experience with UKG or other similar payroll systems
- Strong Excel skills (minimum requirement is the creation of Pivot Tables & utlilizing Lookups)
- Experience accounting for severance, COBRA and retention
- Experience with payroll accounting in a company of 50+ employees
