The Position

This Executive Assistant is a highly organized and experienced Executive Assistant who will provide comprehensive support to the Chief Development Officer (CDO). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating the CDO's effectiveness, managing administrative tasks, and coordinating with external stakeholders. They will serve the CDO to assist in scheduling, email coordination, and meeting preparation, and will maintain timely day-to-day communication to empower the CDO to operate at full strategic capacity.

Responsibilities
  • Communication and Liaison:
    Act as a primary point of contact between the CDO and internal / external stakeholders.
  • Email Monitoring:
    Maintain timely and highly professional email correspondence on behalf of CDO. Also manage the Development Team fundraising email accounts and communication.
  • Scheduling:
    Schedule and coordinate meeting times and locations on behalf of CDO and senior leadership. Provide a weekly / daily summary to CDO on their upcoming meetings and key activities for day-to-day success.
  • Meeting preparation and follow-up:
    Assist with individual meeting briefs and post-meeting follow-up on behalf of CDO and senior leadership.
  • Facility Coordination:
    Oversee facility room reservations and assist the CDO / Development Team in coordinating meeting space needs.
  • Event Preparation:
    As needed, assist the CDO and Director of Operations with event preparation, communications, and day-of logistics.
  • Expense Reports:
    Complete expense reports on the CDO and VP level.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in office administration, communications, or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience providing administrative support to executive-level leaders and / or in a development office preferred
  • Strong ability to communicate thoughtfully and effectively to a wide variety of audiences
  • Highly professional written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to protect and appropriately handle confidential information
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized, must be excellent with follow-up and follow-through
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to problem-solve, multi-task, complete work on time, and work independently
  • Proficient in Google G Suite and other software.
  • Deep passion for the Cross Purpose mission and values.
  • Employee must provide a working laptop (PC preferred) and smartphone.
Salary & Benefits
  • Hours:

    40 hours / week with a Core Hour schedule determined upon hiring, occasional other hours as scheduled.
  • Salary / Wage: $59,000 - $70,800 (Support Specialist II)
  • Performance Bonus:
    Up to 5% of salary
  • Vacation: 15 days per year, plus the office is closed Christmas Day - New Year's Day and staff have limited duties
  • Sick Days: 6 days per year
