Front Desk Coordinator (Term – Limited) – Office of the Attorney General
The Colorado Department of Revenue welcomes you to apply for the front desk coordinator role. This term‑limited position will support the Office of the Attorney General from its Denver location.
Department OverviewWe are part of the Department of Law (DOL), the public service arm of the Colorado Attorney General’s office. The coordinator serves as the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and the public, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Job SummaryThis Administrative Assistant II role is a term‑limited position, expected to last until August 2026, with employment at the DOL North office (1700 Lincoln St, Denver). The primary responsibilities include front desk office support, mail handling, and miscellaneous administrative duties.
Responsibilities- Greet visitors to the Department of Law
- Answer and direct calls received on the main telephone line; collect call tracking data and respond to voicemail messages
- Accept deliveries and service of processes for the Department
- Sort and distribute USPS mail and e‑filings daily to appropriate sections; oversee mail and e‑filing processes
- Support operational functions by assisting with unit and administrative tasks, including photocopying, producing written documents, reports, and spreadsheets
Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of administrative assistant or clerical support in a professional office setting, with primary responsibilities in this role.
- A combination of related education and or relevant experience totaling two years.
- Education may substitute for one year; qualified applicants must have at least one year of related experience.
- Foreign degree holders must provide a validated translation or evaluation.
- Experience working with confidential information
- Experience managing and routing calls received
- Experience working for executives, escorting guests, answering calls and drafting correspondence
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
- Experience in a mail room or managing mail distribution
- Additional experience beyond the two‑year minimum
- Applicants must pass a thorough background investigation prior to appointment.
- Position requires work in the office 5 days per week (Monday–Friday) from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
- Primary location at DOL North (1700 Lincoln St); occasional work at DOL South (1300 Broadway).
