About the Role:
Find Talent is partnering with a leading organization in the electrical construction industry to find a skilled Estimator I to join their team. As an Estimator I, you will play a vital role in estimating costs for large-scale electrical construction projects, ensuring that each project is delivered with high standards of quality, within budget, and on time. You will be responsible for providing accurate and competitive cost estimates that support the growth and success of the company.
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including but not limited to telecommunications, high-voltage distribution, and infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop estimates.
- Perform field walk-downs with clients and construction teams to gather necessary information and assess project scope.
- Review and compare project documentation for consistency and accuracy.
- Support the project team throughout the lifecycle of the project, including assistance with change orders and cost tracking.
- Participate in the internal review process to ensure estimates meet client expectations and company standards.
- Follow up at the conclusion of projects to evaluate the estimating process and identify areas for improvement.
- Comply with industry-specific professional and ethical standards, as well as the company s business conduct policies.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in electrical estimating, with a focus on commercial or industrial projects.
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical materials, installation methods, and local electrical codes.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications from various disciplines (e.g., civil, mechanical, architectural).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive and detail-oriented mindset with a strong sense of accountability.
- Competitive salary of $75,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.
