Heavy Civil Estimator - Federal

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil/Heavy Highway Estimator to join our team. This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for large-scale infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, and other civil works. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and federal compliance requirements. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop competitive bids and ensure project success.

$125,000 - $185,000 per year

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Develop and maintain accurate take-offs, pricing, and bid proposals.
• Collaborate with internal teams and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope details.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and funding requirements when applicable.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and provide input on project strategies.

• Minimum 5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil/heavy highway construction.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record with large-scale projects (multi-million-dollar scope).
• Federal project experience is a major plus (knowledge of FAR, Davis-Bacon Act, Buy America provisions).
• Strong proficiency in estimating software (HCSS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
