Earth & Utility Foreman
Department: Earth & Utility –
Job Status: Full Time/Weather Dependent –
FLSA Status: Exempt or Non‑Exempt –
Grade/Level: $33–$45/Hour
Lead crews and oversee day‑to‑day construction activities for earthwork and underground utility projects. Ensure work is performed safely, within schedule, and according to contract specifications.
Responsibilities- Work alongside crews operating equipment to maintain grading accuracy of +/- 0.1 ft and perform general labor as needed.
- Collaborate with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve work‑related issues.
- Prepare and submit daily timesheets, progress reports, code receipts, invoices, and record changes that affect cost and schedule.
- Operate Commercial Motor Vehicles in compliance with FMCSA Part 391.11 Subpart B; CDL not required.
- Plan, organize, and direct construction or maintenance activities for structures and infrastructure systems.
- Implement modifications to plans promptly in response to delays, weather, or emergencies.
- Requisition supplies or materials required for project completion.
- Education: High School Graduate or GED.
- Experience: 7 years related field and office experience.
- Other Requirements: Clean driving record; successful background check and drug screen; ability to access State & Federal facilities.
