Civil Estimator - Concrete

The Concrete Civil Estimator prepares accurate, timely estimates for civil construction projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and industry partners.

• Producing accurate, competitive estimates with minimal rework
• Building strong relationships with field teams, suppliers, and clients
• Staying current on pricing, specifications, and industry trends
• Delivering clean, organized takeoffs and documentation
• Showing initiative, curiosity, and process‑improvement mindset
• Demonstrating CCP values:

• Review RFPs, drawings, and project documents to determine scope.
• Attend pre‑bid meetings and site visits as needed.
• Prepare accurate, competitive estimates using standardized tools.
• Complete takeoffs using Bluebeam or similar software.
• Maintain current market and material pricing.
• Stay updated on industry concepts and municipality specifications.
• Review estimate scope and pricing with the CEO before submission.
• Maintain supplier and subcontractor unit pricing.

• Lead job handoff meetings with field leadership.
• Prepare submittals and project budgets.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, estimators, and construction managers.
• Participate in bidding strategy and pipeline development.
• Generate new leads and follow up on submitted bids.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
• Support process improvements while upholding quality standards.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Remain proactive in updating knowledge of local specifications.

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or CCP/CEP certification.
• Minimum 5 years estimating experience in concrete flatwork, asphalt, sitework, grading, demolition/environmental, overlot grading, or wet utilities.
• Minimum 3 years civil/concrete experience (field or office).
• Ability to interpret drawings, contracts, and construction documents.
• Strong math and financial analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project; ability to build Excel models.
• Skilled in takeoffs using Bluebeam or similar tools.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to multitask and make sound decisions under deadlines.
• Self‑starter with strong motivation and initiative.

• Experience with B2W Estimate
• ACI Certification

• Includes job site visits, meetings, and coordination with field teams.
