ESI's Superintendent assumes a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day functions of construction sites and projects. With the authority to facilitate daily coordination and guidance for work execution, they ensure its safety, adherence to budget, timely completion, alignment with the company's quality standards, effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, and ensure overall customer satisfaction. Their responsibilities encompass meticulous planning and scheduling of activities, coordinating with subcontractors, and being a direct leadership representative.
We are seeking individuals who are open to relocating to one of the following locations:
Denver, CO;
Las Cruces, NM; or Chantilly, VA
. Please note that this is a relocation-only opportunity and is not open to travel-based arrangements.

- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to create detailed short interval project schedules and plans to ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Organize and coordinate resources, materials, and subcontractors to meet project milestones.
- Regularly participate in the Owner, Architect, and Contractor meetings, and ensure Owner/Owner representatives are up to date on any changes regarding schedule, potential conflicts, RFI’s, etc.
- Oversee and direct construction activities on the site, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Manage and supervise a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and other personnel.
- Provide guidance and support to the workforce to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
- Communicates expectations, enforces policies, and completes/submits records.
- Develops/modifies JHA’s for the project and provides JHA training at appropriate stages of the project.
- Identifies needs for training and communicates with the Safety Team to ensure training is completed prior to reaching the stage of work that training will be required for.
- Complete work area inspections and conduct weekly safety meetings with subcontractors and foremen.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards for all construction activities, materials, and workmanship.
- Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring that the project stays within allocated financial limits.
- Identify potential cost-saving measures without compromising safety, quality, and project scope.
- Generate regular progress reports and communicate updates to project stakeholders, including clients and management.
- Keep detailed records of all construction activities, changes, and project-related documentation (ex. daily reports, photos, and logs).
- Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during construction promptly.
- Proactively identify potential roadblocks and work on preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and permits required for the project.
- High School Diploma or GED. A bachelor’s degree in construction management, or a related field, is preferred but not required.
- 3-5 years’ Construction Superintendent experience is preferred but not required.
- Comprehensive understanding of plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Computer Skills – Email, Daily Reports, Timecards, Microsoft Office, Scheduling Software.
- Experience operating Fork/Boom/Scissor Lift.
- Experience with any of the following software is preferred, but not required:
- Effective and professional communication and interaction with supervisors, employees, and others, whether individually or in a team environment, are vital aspects of the role.
- Adherence to safety protocols and the ability to follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment guidelines, and company policies, are necessary for performing work safely and effectively
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- First Aid, CPR, and Respirator Training
