We are seeking a qualified and experienced TCP (Traffic Control Plan) Foreman to join our team. The TCP Foreman will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of traffic control plans on construction sites to ensure the safety and efficiency of the work zone.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the daily operations of traffic control crews and ensure proper implementation of traffic control plans (TCPs) on-site.
- Lead and train team members on the setup, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices such as signs, cones, barricades, and warning lights.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local traffic control regulations, including adherence to safety standards and protocols.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and local authorities to ensure that traffic control measures align with project needs and public safety.
- Conduct regular inspections of traffic control setups to ensure that they are safe, functional, and compliant with the approved plan.
- Address any issues related to traffic control devices and resolve them promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Monitor work zone traffic flow to ensure safety for both the public and construction workers.
- Ensure all traffic control equipment is in good working condition and notify the appropriate personnel for repair or replacement.
- Maintain accurate records of traffic control setups and work zone activities.
- Assist in creating and reviewing traffic control plans for upcoming projects.
- Communicate effectively with all team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Active TCS and TCT certifications.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in traffic control or construction supervision.
- Strong knowledge of traffic control devices, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Experience with traffic control plan design and implementation.
- Ability to lead, manage, and train a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on-site.
- Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and on varying types of construction projects.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Previous experience working with large-scale construction projects.
- Knowledge of road construction safety protocols.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
