Field Operations Intern

Our Field Operations Intern supports the successful delivery of our projects by working alongside the field team and gaining hands‑on experience in construction operations. They're organized, adaptable, and eager to learn, with a strong attention to detail and a willingness to jump in wherever they can add value. This role provides exposure to the day-to-day realities of construction while building a strong foundation in project management, field operations, and construction business operations.

Our Field Operations Internship is a hands‑on, 12 week program designed to give you real exposure to construction, project management, and client-focused work. You'll contribute to meaningful projects that impact clients and communities, while exploring your career growth options in multiple directions.

This internship isn't an observation - you'll have freedom, responsibility, and mentorship to solve problems, collaborate with teams, and see firsthand how projects get built from start to finish.

Support Field Operations with scheduling, logistics, and project documentation.

Participate in safety planning and site walks, helping send every person on an FH site home safely.

Assist with material tracking, procurement, and coordination with trade partners.

Contribute to project meetings with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, problem solve, and contribute ideas that make projects better.

A deeper understanding of project management, field operations, and construction business operations.

Practical skills in scheduling, material coordination, and project documentation.

Exposure to client and trade partner interactions, improving communication and relationship building.

Experience contributing to real projects and seeing how decisions impact project outcomes.

Confidence in problem-solving, innovation, and contributing ideas to a growing business.

Preferred:
Prior internship experience in construction, engineering, or project management.

Pay Range: $20 - $25 per hour
