About KUSA-TVKUSA-TV, the TEGNA‑owned NBC affiliate in Denver, CO, is looking for a Morning Show Producer to bring urgency, context and passion to our morning newscasts. We’re on the hunt for a news junkie, committed to delivering top‑notch content to the audience across platforms. This producer has proven editorial judgment and the ability to make quick decisions when important news breaks. The ideal candidate will be excited to showcase a variety of stories to create a balanced, engaging and informative show.

- Craft compelling newscasts that embrace breaking news, enterprise content, emotion, and storytelling.
- Work directly with the Executive Producer and news leaders to consistently build a high‑quality news show.
- Be a leader in the newsroom.
- Demonstrate strong news judgment and understand the basics of journalism.
- Booth continuous coverage on broadcast and live streams for breaking news, weather coverage, and community events.
- React to breaking news and manage the newscast’s timing.
- Produce unique content for multi‑platforms, including broadcast and digital.
- Use our extensive toolkit along with your own creative production techniques to enhance stories.
- Advocate for underrepresented people, communities and viewpoints to have a voice and presence in your show.
- Write in an exciting, accurate, and creative way.
- Develop enterprise news stories.
- Research stories to ensure they are factual and ascertained sources’ credibility.
- Use AI, social media and digital tools to research, discover, and produce content.
- Perform other tasks as required by supervisor or executive producer.
- College degree in journalism, communications or a related field.
- 2+ years full‑time newscast producing experience.
- Skills in producing engaging, content‑driven newscasts and digital content.
- Strong social media skills to deliver content and listen for ideas.
- Knowledge of ENPS, Edius, and Axis graphics is a plus.
- Organizational skills and the ability to work under time pressure deadlines.
- Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events.
- Shifts could include overnight hours, holidays and weekends.
$60,000 – $70,000 USD
