Project Architect

4240 Architecture is seeking a creative, skilled, and organized individual to join our team in Denver. 4240 Architecture is a Denver‑based, full‑service architecture firm that has built a reputation for design ingenuity, client service, and memorable outcomes. Roles & Responsibilities
  • Collaborates on project design, prepares presentations, and executes design documentation
  • Has a passion for finding creative solutions which align with our client’s goals
  • Leads and learns from others at all levels of experience and within various roles
  • Leads team, consultant, and owner meetings
  • Supports the Project Manager in planning project milestones and goals
  • Collaborates and leads project team to find best design and detail solutions
  • Seeks to achieve superior quality of project design and documentation
  • Actively mentors junior staff
Qualifications & Skills
  • NAAB‑accredited degree in Architecture
  • 7-12 years of professional experience (licensed professionals preferred)
  • Passion for sustainable design solutions (sustainable certification(s) programs and software experience preferred)
  • Independent & resourceful approach to providing creative design direction and team leadership
  • Strong design and graphic skills
  • Hand‑drawing and sketching skills preferred
  • Sound working knowledge of building codes, zoning, and DRB materials
  • Adept at implementing relevant and sound building science, technology, and constructability, from concept into quality construction documents
  • Proficient in developing high‑quality visualizations, such as renderings and animations
  • Proficient in Revit, Sketch Up, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects), Excel, Smartsheet or similar Project Management software
