Aboutthe Role
For over 50 years, our partnership with National Jewish Health has established a heart and vascular program recognized for its quality and innovation. As a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you will work alongside two other surgeons and four advanced practitioners, engaging in complex procedures such as:
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
- Mitral Valve Replacement/Repair (MVRR)
- Structural Heart Interventions
In this role, you will enjoy:
- A supportive environment at Saint Joseph Hospital , which has received top ratings from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
- Only Q3 call at one hospital, with advanced practitioners sharing floor and ICU call.
- A well-established CT practice with strong referral patterns and collaborative relationships.
- Full ICU support with dedicated intensivists available 24/7.
- A busy Structural Heart Program, leading the state in Mitraclip procedures.
- Participation in ongoing structural heart trials and a dedicated ECMO program.

- Competitive Compensation: An initial base salary of $800,000 plus a wRVU bonus incentive, with an additional $75,000 annual quality bonus and a $25,000 starting bonus .

We value excellence and are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:
- MD/DO Education
- Unrestricted license in Colorado or the ability to obtain one
- Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- DEA Certification
- A minimum of 5 years of experience
- A passion for building programs in cardiovascular surgery or niche areas such as thoracic or minimally invasive techniques.
