Part‑Time Testing Coordinator, Student Disability Services & University Testing

The Testing Coordinator facilitates access to academic testing by coordinating accommodations for eligible students, including those with disabilities, Regis students needing makeup exams, and occasionally external test candidates. This part‑time role ensures reasonable accommodations in compliance with federal disability laws, collaborates closely with students, faculty, and staff to foster an inclusive learning environment, and oversees assistive technology needs in partnership with the university’s IT department.

The coordinator also supports the university’s Approved Test Center operations, maintaining a working knowledge of national testing standards to ensure compliance. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills are essential, as is occasional availability for evening or weekend hours and travel.

Major Duties and Responsibilities Student Accommodation Support
  • Partner with faculty and staff to implement testing accommodations and ensure their effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date electronic student records.
Testing Coordination and Oversight
  • Oversee implementation of testing accommodations, including scheduling, proctoring, test sites, assistive technology, and compliance with institutional and vendor‑specific protocols.
  • Manage operations of the University Testing Center, including scheduling, security, administration, reporting, and vendor contracts.
  • Supervise test accommodations at satellite campuses, including occasional travel as needed.
  • Train and oversee professional staff and proctors in compliance with national testing standards (e.g., NCTA).
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor testing policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
  • Prepare and analyze statistical and financial reports to evaluate testing services and revenue.
  • Maintain regular communication with faculty, students, schools, and testing vendors.
Assistive Technology and Accessibility Tools
  • Evaluate, operate, and troubleshoot assistive technology and software used in testing and academic accommodations.
  • Provide training to students on accessibility tools (e.g., screen readers such as Kurzweil and Read & Write Gold).
  • Track and maintain student use of assistive technology and accessible formats, including audio books.
  • Coordinate audio book production in collaboration with departmental staff.
  • Partner with the university’s IT department to ensure accessibility of hardware and software systems.
  • Research and assess emerging developments in assistive technology to enhance student support.
Administrative and Operational Support
  • Support departmental operations as needed, including coordination of note taking services.
  • Monitor testing revenue and prepare monthly reports for departmental leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with national accreditation requirements for testing services.
  • Stay informed on current trends and best practices in disability services, testing administration, and accessibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years experience supporting individuals with disabilities in an academic or vocational setting.
  • Knowledge of higher education disability policy.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, special education, disability studies, or related field.
  • Experience working in a postsecondary disability services office supporting students with disabilities and facilitating accommodations.
Working Conditions

Working conditions are normal for a fast‑paced office environment and will likely require occasional weekend and/or evening hours as well as travel to our satellite campus. This role requires an on‑campus presence and is not eligible for remote work.

Pay Rate

$20‑$23.13 per hour, commensurate with qualifications.
