This position works collaboratively with other mathematics faculty and instructors in a diverse, urban setting and reports directly to the co‑chairs of the mathematics department. Effective interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills are essential. CCD seeks faculty with strong teaching skills to engage its diverse students using an array of instructional methods and tools (e.g. project‑based learning, flipped classroom, innovative use of technology, implementation of open educational resources, competency‑based education, etc.).

The college encourages creativity and supports faculty to implement cutting‑edge methods to improve student learning. CCD's rigorous learning environment fosters a community of lifelong learners who demonstrate critical thinking, cultural competence, and ethical responsibility.
