Position SummaryThe Department of Elementary Education & Literacy at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions.

MSU Denver enrolls over 16,000 students, with nearly 60% first-generation and over 55% students of color. Located in downtown Denver, it is a designated Hispanic Serving Institution, an INSIGHT into Diversity Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award winner for 10 consecutive years, and the only Seal of Excelencia certified institution in Colorado. The university serves the most diverse undergraduate population in the state, including many first-generation and DACA students.

Affiliate faculty duties include, but are not limited to:
- Teaching assigned classes in person or online, delivering course content, preparing materials, grading, and providing timely feedback.
- Addressing student questions and providing academic support as needed.
- Ensuring instruction aligns with course syllabi and departmental policies.
- Maintaining office hours and complying with university evaluation and peer observation policies.
- Adapting to in-person, online, or hybrid teaching modalities based on course needs.
Candidates should be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student body.
Required QualificationsMaster's degree in Curriculum and Instruction or a related field for undergraduate teaching;
Doctorate for graduate-level courses.
Experience teaching in a K-6 setting.
Terms of EmploymentPart-time, at-will, on a per-credit-hour basis, usually semester-by-semester. Not eligible for benefits. Teaching is expected to be in person upon hire.
