Position Summary

The Department of Psychological Sciences at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. Qualified applicants will be considered for departmental teaching needs for both in-person and online courses.

MSU Denver enrolls over 17,000 students, with nearly 60% first-generation and over 55% students of color. Responsibilities
  • Teaching assigned classes in person or online, delivering course content, preparing materials, grading, and providing timely feedback.
  • Addressing student questions and providing academic support as needed.
  • Ensuring instruction aligns with course syllabi and department policies.
  • Participating in evaluations and peer observations as per university policies.
  • Adapting to new modes of instruction and being sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student body.
Required Qualifications

Masters degree in psychology, a related field, or enrollment in a doctoral program in psychology.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral candidate in psychology, completed dissertation/defense, or Ph.D. in psychology.
  • Experience and success in undergraduate psychology teaching, including clinical/counseling, developmental, biological, experimental, or social psychology.
Terms of Employment

Part-time, at-will, per credit hour, semester-by-semester employment. No benefits eligibility. Teaching assignments depend on budget and enrollment. Candidates may need to teach in person depending on course needs.
