This posting establishes and maintains a pool of Lecturers from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure-track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (< 50% FTE) and made semester-by-semester as teaching needs arise. This pool is anticipated to remain active through August 2021, after which applications may be submitted to future pools.
Position DescriptionThe Business School at the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) seeks a pool of Lecturers in Finance for temporary, non-tenure-track appointments. Lecturers selected from this pool will teach in the Business School. Courses will generally be up to three credit hours and may be delivered in person, hybrid, online, or remote formats.
Responsibilities- Teach finance courses in the Business School as needed, generally up to three credit hours per course.
- Deliver instruction across in-person, hybrid, online, and remote modalities as required.
- Contribute to a learning environment that supports inclusiveness and student success.
The salary range is established at $4,915 to $5,360 per month, depending on course level. Final salary will consider factors such as internal equity, experience, education, and training. The University offers a full benefits package.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Master’s or higher degree in finance or a closely related field. Recent significant professional, technical, or managerial experience in the discipline related to the teaching assignment (at least five years of duties and responsibilities).
Preferred Qualifications: Prior online teaching experience in finance and a record of teaching multiple finance courses. Professional designations such as CFA or CFP are a plus. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
