OverviewThe CU Denver Business School seeks individuals to establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Entrepreneurship and Innovation for temporary, non-tenure-track appointments. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50% FTE) and made semester-by-semester based on teaching needs. This posting may not reflect a current open position and the pool is anticipated to remain active through May 2026.
What you will doLecturers selected from this pool will teach Entrepreneurship classes in the CU Denver Business School.
Duties include:
- Deliver tailored instruction to diverse language and cultural backgrounds in alignment with curricular objectives and outcomes
- Prepare balanced, rigorous lesson plans in advance
- Assess student progress according to curricular outcomes
- Report student offenses (plagiarism, cheating, absences, etc.) per program policies and procedures
- Instruct undergraduate or graduate level classes (generally up to three credit hours) in one or multiple modalities (in-person, online-remote, or hybrid)
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's or higher degree in a field closely related to the course topic
- Recent significant professional, technical, or managerial experience in the discipline related to the teaching assignment; generally interpreted as at least three years of duties and responsibilities
- Prior experience teaching in higher education
- Knowledge and proficiency in the related discipline
- Demonstrated interest in mentoring and teaching in the related discipline
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion with equitable practices
- Effective written and oral communication
- Leadership qualities
- Ability to plan and implement teaching goals independently
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the institution
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required
- Hybrid work structure; remote or office-based depending on task demands; office encouraged for collaborative tasks
