The CU Denver Business School seeks to establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Career & Professional Development from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure-track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time and may be made semester-by-semester, as teaching needs arise. This posting does not necessarily reflect a current, open position. The temporary Lecturer pool is anticipated to remain continuously active through March 2026, at which point applications will be cleared from the pool.
Applicants may apply to future pools after that date.
- Teach Career & Professional Development classes in the Business School at CU Denver; may be assigned to teach one-credit courses, including Professional Selling and related topics
- Deliver tailored instruction to students from diverse language and cultural backgrounds in accordance with curricular objectives and outcomes
- Prepare for each class with balanced, rigorous lesson plans; assess student progress according to curricular objectives and outcomes
- Adhere to program policies and report student offenses (plagiarism, cheating, absences, etc.)
- Instruct in undergraduate or graduate levels, generally one-credit or three-credit hours
- Teach in one or multiple modalities (in-person, online-remote, or hybrid)
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's or higher degree in Management, Human Resources, or an MBA, or other related degrees
- Recent significant professional, technical, or managerial experience related to the teaching assignment; at least five years of duties and responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching in closely related course topics
- Knowledge and proficiency in related discipline
- Demonstrated interest in mentoring and teaching
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion with equitable practices
- Effective written and oral communication
- Leadership qualities and ability to plan and implement teaching goals independently
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the institution
Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required. Hybrid work structure; remote or on-site work allowed based on task demands, with on-site work encouraged for collaboration.

Salary, Benefits, and Other Details- Salary range: $5,535 to $6,000 (depending on course level); one-credit courses or co-taught three-credit courses may be $2,767 to $3,000
- Part-time teaching role; not eligible for overtime or benefits
