Job Description
Adjunct instructors at Southeast Community College provide educational services as assigned, in accordance with general college guidelines, board policies and administrative guidelines. Adjunct teaching contracts are subject to cancellation due to low student enrollment.
Minimum Qualifications- Adjunct Instructors for English as a Second Language must possess a Bachelor’s degree in TESOL / TEFL, Second or Foreign Language Acquisition, Linguistics, Foreign Language, or a related field, with documented experience in instruction of the subject area.
- Adjunct Instructors for College Prep Writing must possess a Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field, with documented experience in instruction of the subject area.
- Adjunct Instructors for Reading must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Elementary, Secondary, English) with Reading endorsement, Master’s degree in Reading, or a degree in a related field, with documented experience in instruction of the subject area.
- Flexibility to instruct classes during day and/or evening hours (or online) and for campuses in West Burlington and Keokuk.
