Instructors in the Adult Education Services Program offer basic literacy instruction as well as GED Preparation and English as a Second Language.

• Create an inclusive, welcoming classroom environment
• Support learners through initial enrollment and testing
• Track student attendance and learning progress
• Strive for 75% retention by maintaining consistent, supportive communication with students
• Work toward 45% or more of all learners achieving a skill level gain measured from pre-test to post-test
• Engage learners across a wide range of skill levels using research-based instruction and motivational strategies tailored to individual learning
• Perform accurate daily record-keeping and data reporting responsibilities
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development offerings
• Work collaboratively with other instructors and with program director on student progress to achieve program goals
• Oversee assigned distance learning programs and offer remote instruction as needed
• Provide instructional support in math, including foundational skills and GED-level content
• Other duties as assigned

• Associate's degree or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and deliver high quality instruction to adult learners
• Good organizational skills and a positive attitude

• Salary is $17-19 per hour based on experience
• Two part-time positions are available, with a combined total of up to 40 hours per week
• Weekly schedules will be determined based on applicant strengths, learner needs, and site coverage
• These are year-round, grant-funded positions with the potential for schedule flexibility and evening hours
