Position SummaryThe Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. The Mathematics and Statistics affiliate instructor will conduct 1-9 hours of General Studies mathematics courses and/or small group learning sessions that accompany General Studies mathematics courses. They will work and interact with diverse groups of students and/or coordinate with faculty teaching lecture sections aligned with learning sessions.

- Conduct 1 - 9 hours of in-person or hybrid General Studies mathematics courses and/or in-person small group learning sessions that accompany these courses.
- Work and interact with diverse groups of students and/or coordinate with faculty teaching lecture sections aligned with learning sessions.
- Teach assigned classes in person or online, delivering course content, preparing materials, grading, providing timely feedback, addressing student questions, and offering academic support as needed.
- Maintain office hours and comply with university policies on student evaluation and peer observation.
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, mathematics education, or a closely related field.
Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in mathematics, statistics, mathematics education, or a closely related field, with proficiency in teaching with technology (calculators, computer software).
Terms of EmploymentPart-time, at-will employment on a per credit hour basis, usually semester-to-semester. Not eligible for university benefits. Teaching assignments depend on budget and enrollment. Candidates must be able to teach in person/on campus upon hire.
