ADC Engineer I – Dedicated Cloud Engineering – Support Engineering

AWS is looking for highly motivated engineers who are focused on operational excellence and troubleshooting complex system operations. You will take a defined set of tasks, identify ineffective processes, address technical implementation defects and mitigate operational concerns. This is shift work (24/7 operations) and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

On a typical day you may dive deep to find the root cause of an issue, investigate metrics, or discuss new approaches to automate operational processes.

We build large, distributed systems and need adaptable people to implement and operate them.

• High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
• 1-3 years of experience with Systems Administration in Linux/Unix (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, Solaris, etc.)
• 1-3 years of experience with Networking (TCP/IP, DNS)
• 1-3 years of experience with Troubleshooting / Support for technical IT issues
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

• Experience with internet fundamentals and cloud computing concepts
• Experience with AWS core services, Command Console, or command line interface
• Experience with compute, database and storage concepts
• Experience with Virtualization (VMware, Xen, Hypervisor)
• Experience with security concepts and best practices
• Experience with IPsec, VPN, Load Balancing, Iperf, MTR, Routing Protocols, SSH, Network Monitoring / Troubleshooting tools; experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $91,000/year up to $152,000/year. Pay is based on market location and may vary.
